Nicholas Thoman (born March 6, 1986) is an American Olympic gold medalist, who specializes in the backstroke. He currently holds the world record in the 100-meter backstroke (short course). He is a member of the 2012 United States Olympic team and will compete in the 100-meter backstroke at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
