Aaron Wells Peirsol (born July 23, 1983) is a American former swimmer who specialized in the backstroke. He is a three-time Olympian and seven-time Olympic medalist (five gold, two silver). As part of the American team, he holds the world record in the 4×100-meter medley relay (long course). Individually, he currently holds the world record in the 100 and 200-meter backstroke (long course).

Michael Jamieson (born 5 August 1988 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a British swimmer who won the silver medal in the 200 metre breaststroke at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Competing for Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics, he won a silver medal in the 200 metre breaststroke. Only a new world record by two-time world 200m breaststroke champion Daniel Gyurta denied Jamieson the gold.
